Your site sends out automated notifications when certain actions are triggered. This includes new registrations, new volunteer opportunity responses, a weekly digest, etc. When those notifications—or your own email blasts—are sent out, the default "from" email address is no-reply@galaxydigital.com. However, you can change the "from" email if needed.
Here we cover:
ⓘ So you know: If you change the "from" email address, it must be verified through Amazon Web Services (AWS) before it can be used.
How to add a new email address
To add a new email address:
1. Go to Communication > Email Blast. 2. Click the blue Click to Verify a New From Address button. 3. Type the email you want to add in the field beside Email From Address and click Submit. 4. A message appears to let you know the email address was submitted—click Close. 5. The email address appears in the dropdown selection for "from" email addresses but isn't selectable. This means it's waiting to be verified by Amazon Web Services (AWS). 6. Check the email that you submitted to see if an email came through from AWS.
7. Click the link in the email to confirm the email address.
- The link expires after 24 hours.
- Be sure to check your spam folder if you don't see an email from AWS.
- When you click the link, it takes you to an AWS confirmation page.
8. Once the email is confirmed, you can start using it!
ⓘ So you know: This process only verifies the email and adds it to your options for sending email blasts. You'll need to go into your Site Settings to change the "from" email address for automated notifications after the new email address has been verified.
How to update "from" email
Once you've added the new "from" email address and it's verified, you can add it for automated notifications.
1. Go to Settings > Main Settings. 2. Under Site Information scroll until you get to Email From Address. 3. Enter the verified email and click Update Settings to save your changes. ⓘ So you know:
- You can verify a "from" email address in this area of the site too.
- The green check means it's a verified email.
