FAQ

If you don't see the opportunity you responded to in the Check-In Kiosk, you may need to click View Other Opportunities.
- If you still don't see your opportunity, reach out to your point of contact, program facilitator, or the organization's site manager for help.
What if the opportunity says I need to submit a prerequisite?
- If the opportunity asks you to sign a waiver, you can do so through the Check-In Kiosk.
- If the opportunity asks you to complete a prerequisite that's not a waiver, then you must complete it through the site.
What if I can't find my account?
When you go to sign in at the kiosk, you can select I Have an Account if you've already registered on the organization's volunteer site. From there, you can search for your account by your email address, name, or phone number. When searching for your account with your phone number, the Check-In Kiosk uses the mobile number you entered on your profile.
- If you have registered with the organization's site, but can't find your account:
- Double-check that the information you used to search for your account matches the information on your profile.
- Be sure to enter your mobile number for the phone number lookup.
- If you still can't find your account, and the information matches your profile, get with your point of contact, program facilitator, or site manager for help.
- If you haven't registered with the organization's site, you can select Create an Account to register when checking in with the kiosk.
- You might have to submit prerequisites on the site and wait for their approval before you can finish checking in at the kiosk.
- Reach out to your point of contact, program facilitator, or the site manager for help.
What if I forget to check out?
The default hours for that opportunity are applied to your account even if you forget to check out for the opportunity. For example, if the opportunity is scheduled for 2.5 hours, then 2.5 hours are applied to your profile—even if you didn't check out with the Check-In Kiosk.
✏️ Quick tip: We recommend that you always check your hours after you've finished a volunteer opportunity to ensure accurate reporting. You can always review:
- Your volunteer resume.
- Your volunteer snapshot.
- The Track Hours area from your profile.
What if an opportunity is private?
Private opportunities are not viewable to the public and are only accessible by User Group assignment or personal invitation.
- If an opportunity is private, then you can only view and check in to it with the Check-In Kiosk if:
- You're a member of a User Group assigned that opportunity.
- You've received a link to that private opportunity and responded to it through the link before logging on to the Check-In Kiosk.
- If you haven't received a link or been assigned to it, then you won't see it as an available option in the kiosk.
