You may need to add responses to opportunities on behalf of your volunteers. You can add a single response, multiple responses, or a team response! In this article, we cover:
Add a response on behalf of a volunteer
1. Go to Volunteerism > Responses:
2. Click Add A Response:
3. Select the response type:
Add a single response
To add a single response:
- Click Add a single response.
- Search for the opportunity with the Opportunity Lookup.
- If the opportunity has scheduled shifts—select a shift for the response.
- Search for the volunteer with the User Lookup.
- Finish filling in all necessary fields and click Add User Response.
Schedule multiple responses
To schedule multiple shifts:
- Click Schedule multiple responses.
- Select the opportunity from the drop-down menu.
- Check applicable shifts and click Continue.
- Search for volunteers by name or email.
- You can also use the filter to search for volunteers.
- Select the volunteers and click Add to List.
- Add more volunteers or, if you're ready, click Schedule Volunteers.
Add a team response
To add a team response:
- Click Add a team response.
- Select the opportunity from the drop-down menu.
- Either select Use an Existing Team or click Create a New Team.
- DoOnce you've made your selections, click Finish.
How to remove a volunteer's response
Did a volunteer respond to an Opportunity but then change their mind? Maybe they responded by accident. Whatever the case may be, you can always remove a volunteer response as needed. '
ⓘ So you know: Volunteers can also unregister from an Opportunity they've responded to right from their profile!
1. Go to Volunteerism > Responses.
2. Click the X under the Options column by the response you want to remove.
3. A popup appears asking you to confirm your selection.
❖ Heads up! Deleting a response also deletes any submitted hours attached to it!
