Opportunity Response - "Respond to All Shifts" Yes/No

We have set-up (2) OVERNIGHT shifts DAILY for half the year.  A total of about 360 shifts and really 180 overnight shift opportunities for any one volunteer (1 volunteer can only work 1 overnight shift per night).  I suspect a volunteer might work as few as 1 overnight shift over the ENTIRE 6 months.  Maximum?  56 shifts over 6 months?

I want to REMOVE or TURN OFF the option of allowing them to "Respond to All Shifts,"  which would register them for 180? shifts and be a mess to clean up, 20 at a time.  2nd best workaround....maybe the system could allow the site admin to limit opportunity responses for profiles/individuals within an opportunity or program?     See the attached .pdf, scroll down and you see the volume of my concern.

Thanks-

Hey Paul,

Thank you for some clarification on what you would like to see!

I will go ahead and pass these along to our Enhancement team for consideration at our next meeting.

KJ-

I think the preferred method for our use would be:

  • Remove or Turn off the option to Respond to All Shifts

Hey Paul!

Thanks for submitting your product suggestion! When I document these concerns would you like me to submit these two idea:

  • Remove or Turn off the option to Respond to All Shifts
  • Limit Opportunity responses for users within Opportunities or programs

These seem to be possibly related, but also are two ideas that could stand on their own.

Let me know what you think!

With gratitude,
