Preferred Name Template Key

May I suggest creating a template key for "preferred name" that gracefully defaults to "first name" if there is no preferred name listed. I have several volunteers who list their "government name" if asked for first name, but do not actually go by that name. I have a Linda who goes by Jane and a Sumner who goes by Ben, not to mention the usual Edward - Ed, William- Bill, etc.

This would allow me to have their name, but to address them by what they want to be called in my email blasts . My previous system, Keela, had this feature (but did not have other features that you have that I really need!)

Thanks!

Matt

Hi Matt,

I hope that you're doing well today! I wanted to let you know that I received the response that you submitted to Abby confirming that this is what you are hoping to have done. I went ahead and added your suggestion to our existing enhancement notes which will be reviewed by our team during one of our upcoming product enhancement meetings. We'll be happy to keep you updated if we receive any additional information about this idea moving forward.

Thank you and have a great day!

Hi Matt!

Thanks for reaching out! I appreciate you adding this to the forum post. Before I record this for future Enhancement meetings I want to make sure I record this properly. Are you looking for a standard question to be added called "Preferred Name" so that the first name key template will pull from preferred name first and if the space it blank it will revert back to pulling from the first name field?

Again, thank you for taking the time to add this to the forum. I looking forward to your response!

Best,
