How to add a new user
To get started:
1. Go to Volunteerism > Users.
2. Click Add New User.
3. Fill out all required fields.
4. If you want to let the volunteer set up their password, check the box beside Don't set a password.
- If you do set up a password for the volunteer, be sure to recommend that they change it once they log into their account.
5. We recommend checking the box beside Send the "Invitation to Complete Your Profile" email.
- This is especially important if you have required prerequisites that your volunteers must complete in order to start responding to opportunities.
6. If you're done, click Add user and Finish!
- Need to add more users? Click Save and Add Another, then repeat the steps!
Don't set a password
If you opt to not set a password when adding new users, you can send them the Invitation to Complete Your Profile notification instead. This template includes the {{password_reset_link}} template key which is linked to the reset password form. When a new user clicks this link, they can go ahead and set up their password and log into their account from that notification.
- You can always remove this template key from the notification; however, we recommend leaving it in.
